When we put the word out to say that we were keen to head out for some sunrise sessions at the beach this beautiful family were one of the first to reach out and brave the early morning trek down to Wollongong for sunrise.
We arrived while the light was still so low on the horizon that we couldn’t tell if the sun would be able to break through the clouds and hoped for the best as we started our stroll towards the water.
Little Miss was excited as she looked out towards the water and squirmed her way free of her Daddy’s arms to make a break for it, but slowed her pace once her feet touched the sand and she started to explore the beach a little.
We had so much fun running through the spot where the water just meets the sand, listening to the laughs and giggles of each other as we avoided the waves reaching our knees, and doing that thing where you stand with your feet planted firmly in the sand and wait for the waves to bury them for you.
There were moments of exploring, dancing, a fantastic pinwheel and so much love that I smiled until my cheeks hurt. Most of all I’m so happy that we had the chance to capture these moments of little hands, teddy sand baths, giggles at the waves and attempts to make pinwheels spin that will be memories to look back on in the years that will come by too quickly.
